Vote For a Local Business

Community Kitchen Pittsburgh (CKPgh), located on Flowers Ave in Hazelwood, has been chosen by Google to receive $50,000 in grant funding with an additional $50,000 possible if they win the most votes in online voting BY MARCH 14.

A page describing CKPgh and how to vote is here:  https://www.communitykitchenpittsburgh.org/award.

The money will help CKPgh continue and improve their efforts to provide culinary training to people with significant barriers.  They help people dealing with issues ranging from substance abuse recovery, transition from prison, homelessness, and more to get the skills and experience they need to obtain stable employment in the food service field.

Community Kitchen Pittsburgh not only trains local residents but employs them, too.  Our own GCA Board Member, Jesse Sharrard, is Nutrition & Compliance Manager at CKPgh.
