Despite the wind and rain, 47 volunteers turned out on Saturday October 22 to clean up Magee Field and weed the Ronald Street garden. 37 of them came from the University of Pittsburgh for Pitt Make A Difference Day.
The garden crew, shown above, pulled weeds and dug up huge sweet potatoes. (Mmmm!) The rest of us cleaned up Magee Field and trimmed the vegetation at the bleachers. The park and garden look a lot better now.
Thank you, everyone, for coming out on a soggy day.
And thank you, Pitt! We couldn’t have done it without you!
