What: National Night Out + Bark in the Park

On National Night Out, August 1, GCA is hosting a pet supplies drive to benefit retired racing greyhounds rescued by Steel City Greyhounds.  Please visit steelcitygreyhounds.org for more information on greyhounds looking for forever homes.

Supplies Wishlist: dog treats, blankets, towels, and your time.

City Steps Assessment Meeting, July 27, 6-8p

The Alexis steps from Greenfield Ave to The Run

With over 800 staircases, Pittsburgh has the most public steps of any city in America. Greenfield itself has at least 25 staircases.

What: City Steps Assessment Kickoff Meeting
The first public meeting of the new City Steps Assessment. The project will use mapping analysis, public input, and field work to develop a way to more systematically repair and maintain the steps. The project will also create new design guidelines and lifecycle cost estimates for city steps.

When: Thurs July 27, 6-8pm
