Great Day at the Garbage Olympics on Sept 26

29 September 2020

Last Saturday 25 people masked up and turned out in Greenfield for the City’s annual Garbage Olympics. Traveling around the neighborhood they collected 35 bags of garbage.

Sam Algeo found an unusually heavy piece of trash — a broken toilet — and dragged it out of the gully. Good work, Sam!

Fortunately the volunteers were well supplied with sanitary hand wipes.

In the end everyone enjoyed pizza thanks to City Councilman Corey O’Connor who funded the feast from Rialto Pizza.

Thanks to all who helped make the day a success.

Great job, Greenfield!
